E.I Am Married To (Or Marrying) A U.S. Citizen And I Am Residing Outside The U.S.
This scenario presents a variety of possibilities:
1. File For A K-3 Visa
The entire K-3 process generally takes about 6 to 9 months.
2. File For Green Card
After you both get married outside the U.S. in a wonderful traditional ceremony or a simple civil ceremony, your U.S. Citizen can file a Petition for Alien Relative with USCIS. Once it is approved, USCIS will transfer the application to the National Benefits Center which will coordinate with the U.S. Consulate in your country to issue an immigrant visa.
The entire process generally takes about 6 to 12 months based on where you are living.
